Statement

Camil Giralt's work is about the search for inner balance, referring to concepts such as calm, silence and distance.

 

For his paintings he uses a technique he created himself: ink on a material base of quartz powder, which allows to work with ink on canvas and obtain results in terms of colour quality, transparency and texture, similar to those of ink on paper.

 

He uses few elements and a limited range of colours, seeking to simplify the content. The search for balance is expressed through the relationship established between colour and form, a dialogue between presence and absence, movement and stillness, structure and emotion. His compositions do not seek visual impact. They are emotional landscapes to be explored without haste. An invitation to look beyond the surface and observe our inner selves.
